History of Hollywood

Hollywood is the name of entertainment and a huge marketing of the film industry. Hollywood was founded in 1857 City of Los Angeles, California (USA). The name Hollywood came from Hobart Johnstone Whitley was the Father of Hollywood, was a property developer who assisted build the Hollywood subdivision in Los Angeles and Southern California. They both husband and wife, Margaret Virginia Whitley named the town while on their nuptial.

Then started the Hollywood journey. The Biography Company filmed the short film A Daring Hold-Up in Southern California in Los Angeles in 1906. Many other production companies started moving to New York and New Jersey. Hollywood had become world-famous center of the United States film industry till 1920. In the 1947, commercial television station and in 1950, music recording studios and offices began operating in Hollywood. After 1950 is golden time for hollywood world many other studios established in Los Angeles.

The Hollywood United Neighborhood Council provides a connection between city administration and inhabitants within the boundaries of Cahuenga and Hollywood Boulevards, Western Avenue and Griffith Park. Hollywood Academy Award known as Oscar given to who recognize excellence of professionals in the film industry. The Kodak Theatre becomes the home of the Oscars. The Hollywood first movie was In Old California in 1910. Now days Hollywood is present all over the world, doing well.
